This year WSA Winnipeg is offering the opportunity for anyone who is interested in gaining first-hand experience to pursue a career in sports, human kinetics, youth programming, not-for-profit, broadcasting, marketing, media, communications and much more. We have several Youth Internship positions available.

What’s in it for you?

All youth internships with WSA Winnipeg are volunteer positions. However, as a WSA intern, you will gain valuable experience in an area you are interested in. Furthermore, you will receive coaching and training as well as attend games for free. We understand that as a young person it is hard to work in a field of your choosing with out any experience. Our intention is you for to have the opportunity to hone your skills and build connections in a safe environment where mistakes are viewed as part of the learning process.

A WSA Winnipeg Youth Internship is an ideal starting point for anyone looking to work in the sports industry!

What positions are available?

Below are the Youth Internship positions currently available. All of them are described in greater detail in our Youth Internships Brochure (Download Here).

Video Production Team

The Video Production Team will be responsible for producing professional-quality videos that help connect fans with the team and support the team. Candidates that can provide their own equipment and software will be given precedence.

We are looking for 4 Youth Interns to be part of the Video Production team.

Web Manager

The WSA Winnipeg Web Manager will be responsible for managing WSA Winnipeg’s website, updating Social Media and designing web graphics.

WSA Winnipeg is looking for 1 Web Manager

Photographer

The WSA Winnipeg Photographer will be responsible for taking photos at WSA home games and events. Photographers must supply their own cameras.

WSA Winnipeg is looking for 2 Photographers

Writer/Analyst

The WSA Writer/analyst will be responsible for writing interesting articles and providing soccer analysis. They may also run a soccer podcast. Candidates for this position will be asked to submit a written piece  demonstrating their writing skill.
