WSA Closes Road Trip With A Win!

June 18, 2013

After 3 tough games in which WSA went 1-1-1, they wanted to finish off with a bang in St Louis and they did just that. The game started off on a bad note when a miscommunication led to a header goal from St Louis in the 5th minute.

In the 50th minute, St Louis player was sent off and shortly after Nathan Douglas chipped a ball in and Ali Musse volleyed it from inside the area and tied the game at 1-1. In the 70th minute, some scary play in front of WSA goal, but the ball stayed out and the score line stayed the same.

With WSA dominating, they finally found the winning goal in injury time when Ali Musse assisted Nathan Douglas. A few yellow cards for both teams but an absolutely brilliant performance from WSA gave them the win.

Players of the game: Tyson Farago and Nathan Douglas.

That win put WSA to 2-5-1 on the year, they now sit 3 points back of 3rd place but currently sit in 5th. They went 2-1-1 on the road trip as they head back home to face Colorado at home on June 29 and June 30. See you all there.
